IPCOTE COATINGS FOR AIRCRAFT ENGINES
We offer a range of sacrificial anti-corrosion coatings designed for use on blades, stators, and hot-section engine components, operating at temperatures up to 650–700°C.
For instance, the IP9183-R1 Ipcote High Heat Resistant Sacrificial Aluminium Coating provides exceptional protection against salt-laden atmospheres, high-temperature oxidation, chemicals, and abrasives. At temperatures up to 700°C, this coating protects iron, steel, heat-treated stainless steel alloys, titanium, and other metallic substrates from corrosion and oxidation. The coating can also be vibro- or super-polished, improving airflow efficiency within aircraft engines.
Complementing this range, CFIpcote and CFIpseal represent the latest chrome-free sacrificial coating systems, fully EU and UK REACH compliant. These coatings provide high adhesion, conductivity, and long-term corrosion resistance, matching the performance of traditional chrome-based systems while meeting modern environmental standards.
Additionally, CFIPAL is a chrome-free, silicon-modified diffusion aluminide coating developed for nickel-based turbine alloys. Offering protection against hot corrosion and oxidation at temperatures up to 1000°C, CFIPAL is approved to OMAT 7/129B and delivers durable, high-temperature performance across aero, industrial, and marine gas turbine applications.
