    Indestructible Paint: Brexit and UK withdrawal from the European Union

    The European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 came into force on 26th June 2018. In-the-event
    that the UK reaches an agreement on a Brexit deal, the transition period will start on 30th
    March 2019 and will last until 31st December 2020.

    We anticipate that little if anything will change for companies trading between the UK and the EU during this transition period.
    In-light-of recent political events Indestructible Paint is preparing for a “no deal” Brexit if no
    agreement is reached by 29th March 2019 and immediate transfer to World Trade Organisation
    (W.T.O.). trading conditions.

    We would like to update you on our preparations for this
    potential outcome and we would also encourage you to make appropriate preparations for
    your own business.

    Indestructible already export to 65 countries and have worked with customs handling agents
    and brokers to manage their imports and exports for 30+ years. Many of these countries
    including such as USA, transactions being under W.T.O. trading conditions.
    We can provide tariff codes and country of origin certificates for all materials customers may
    purchase.

    We are constantly monitoring the situation regarding cost implications of Brexit including the
    possibility of holding additional stock and if necessary, stocking in Europe. Any additional costs
    imposed would be discussed with customers prior to implementation.

    Due to the high degree of uncertainty if there is a “no deal” Brexit and we revert to W.T.O.
    trading then we advise customers that they now need to be reviewing their stock
    requirements for the first 6 months of 2019.

    obligations and management for our REACH Authorised materials including our commitment to
    supply hexavalent chrome containing materials to the Aerospace industry.
