    PL95-R1 – Mica Impregnated Insulating Coating

    PL95-R1 is an insulating coating for application to aero engine components. It will give excellent resistance to heat, corrosion, lubricants, coolants and fuels. The cured coating can be machined to produce accurate dimensions on working surfaces. This product has been evaluated by Rolls Royce as having conductivity of 2.2×10 watts/meter/°C in 1972. The R1 version has been re-formulated to comply with new environmental requirements, this modification has made it easier to apply a thicker coating.
