Sustainable Products Continue to Drive Growth

As we reach the halfway point of 2025, we’re proud to share that Indestructible Paint is continuing to grow strongly, with turnover up 19% last year, and increasing. This success reflects the hard work of our team, our commitment to innovation, and the trust our customers place in us.

Our growth is being driven by several key factors: the global uptake of our groundbreaking chrome-free product range; expansion into new markets; increasing aerospace production rates – where our coatings are used extensively in aircraft and aero engines – and diversification into other advanced industrial sectors.

We’ve always believed that surface coatings can be safer, better, and more sustainable – and for over a decade, we’ve been investing heavily in R&D to make that a reality. That work is paying off. Our chrome-free products now cover a wide variety of applications, including sacrificial base and seal coats and diffusion coatings that withstand temperatures up to 1,000°C. We’re also on track to launch a new chrome-free primer later this year, with more innovations in development.

Importantly, our chrome-free solutions are proving that sustainability doesn’t mean compromise. In many cases, they deliver equal – or even superior – performance to the chrome-based products they’re replacing.

We understand that change takes time, especially in highly regulated industries like aerospace, defence, and power generation. These sectors require extensive testing and approval before adopting new solutions – a process that can take years. That’s why we’ve taken proactive steps to support our customers during this transition.

Our existing chrome products have recently been re-authorised under UK REACH, and we expect EU re-authorisation soon. This gives us and our customers up to 12 more years to complete the transition safely and thoroughly, while we continue developing and validating chrome-free alternatives.

That said, we’re already seeing rising demand for our chrome-free range in key markets across Europe, China, Japan, and Hong Kong. We’re actively working with customers to support early adoption, and we’re confident that many will be able to make the switch well before the full transition period ends.
